Winter lodging at shasta camp

At 5000’, snow is guaranteed in the winter. The first significant snowfall usually lands between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Each winter storm brings the possibility of the closure of Castle Lake Road at the green gate (which is 3 miles down hill from the camp).

You may reserve Buckner Lodge between November and May without placing a deposit due to the wild card that winter weather presents.

Winter campers can count on hot water, plenty of firewood, an ample kitchen, and a winter wonderland well suited to cross country skiing and snow shoeing.

We have sledss for your burdens and some snow shoes to lend.

The lodge could be yours for $175 per night and would include your first ten guests. Additional guests, $15 each/night.
